Who we are

The Nevada Whitewater Association (NWA) is non-profit organization in the application process to become a 501c3. We are committed to growing the community of whitewater enthusiasts to get more people spending time outdoors, enjoying sports and group activities. It is our mission to maintain the current whitewater resources we have in Reno while advocating for new waves and safe, healthy rivers. Our work is supported by dedicated volunteers, community donors, and grant providers. We actively meet with local government to discuss infrastructure, outreach, and community service needs. In every city and state local communities come together to ensure that their needs are heard, acknowledged and provided. NWA was created to ensure that the recreational use of our rivers is evolving and the water is being treated well.
